The main feature of TinyCadence is to automate your email outreach. For this reason, the "Send email" step in a cadence is the most popular step. Many cadences consist of only a single step that sends an email.
When you create a "Send email" step, you have full control over the email that will be sent to any contacts that are enrolled in the cadence.
You can edit both the body and subject of the email with some rich text options. If you have more formatting that you would like to include, but do not see a way to edit the formatting in TinyCadence's email editor, you can edit the text in another place (such as Google Docs) and paste in the text to the email editor, like so:
You can also add a link in your email. To do that, you should either copy/paste the link and text or you can do it manually by:
highlighting text in your email content in the TinyCadence editor
clicking on the link icon in the editor (🔗)
typing or pasting the URL
pressing the enter or return key to confirm
Another powerful feature of the email editor is that you can insert a contact's property into the body or subject of the email. To do this you can:
click on the insert property button (looks like: "[...]")
choose the property you wish to insert (perhaps "First name", for example)
optionally choose a "fallback" in case there is no property for a contact
It can be important to choose a fallback in order to make the content of your email make sense. For example, if you start the email with "Hello {{ contact.firstname }}" you may want to have a fallback of "there" so that, in the case that there is no first name for the contact, the email starts with "Hello there".
In order to include contact properties in the subject, you must manually type them. They will not show up with a colored background, but they will be inserted correctly. Here is an example of how the email editor will look:
If you would like to see how your email looks, you can click the "Send test email" button. This will send an email to the email address you use to log in to TinyCadence.
When you click the button, a small green banner will appear towards the top of the page telling you which email address the test email was sent to.
All emails sent from TinyCadence will use your Gmail or Google Workspace email to send.
The emails will appear "from" your name in your TinyCadence settings. If you would like to change your "from" line in your emails, you need to edit your name in your TinyCadence settings.
